that first line is terrible. Move Barzal to the 4th and bench Lee. Give Griess his spot, he has fresh legs.

I think I’d rather see Greene than Boychuk anyway tbh.

I don’t know maybe it’s because I’m a big Boychuck fan and i look at his game through rose colored glasses but I don’t see him as being that bad. I don’t think he had the greatest game last week but these guys got pretty much no camp and one exhibition game. It’s going to take an old dog like him a couple games to get acclimated. With that said I think Boychuck legit contributes to the defense.

We may be the in minority on here but I agree with you Cpt. He is a big part of the PK and as you said his 5V5 game isn’t as bad as the masses on here are saying.

Group think run a mock

Barzal centering the 4th line or playing Wing?

Sorry guys but greene is better than boychuk and can play the pk. Frome the other blog the mcdavid goal last night may be as good as the ovie 360 falling goal

I mean his game is not what it was but I don’t feel he’s a detriment like most do on here. I don’t dislike Greene I think he has played well for us but I like having Boychuck’s physicality on the back end which is something we lack imo.

I’m a big Boychuk fan too, so I’m not happy he got his bell ring. The number of defensemen we have is definitely a plus and Greene is more than capable of taking his place if the cobwebs aren’t shaken yet.

Ross centers. Barzal couldn't win a draw if his contract depended on it.

IMO, neither is a standout. If Greene can hit the net with a blue line slapper, I'll be happy. Wouldn't sign him to anything other than a $1 mil practice squad contract.

It's obvious haven't watched much of Greene since they acquired him

I love the guys game... love that he shoots first or does that shot pass off the boards. I love that he levels some guys once in a while too. He is a very physical guy and a huge guy on the bench for the team...

But..

He has just gotten so much slower this year. If you have a guy like Greene available you gotta put him in the game. (love that Trotz sat Leo too by the way. That's an obvious move to us but I would be my right arm that Capuano would have benched someone else instead like Beauv).

100% plays with an edge and is a leader for this team as well.

He was such an under the Radar big pick up at the deadline.. hope it proves to be tremendous.

Probably means JB had a concussion which sucks. Greene is capable and has PO experience so I’m glad Lou made that deal.

Still think a 2nd round pick was a bad price for him, but he's been rock solid. If he were a right-shot I think he'd have pushed Boychuk out of the lineup.
